If that's literally true, I have no explanation.

But if you've had double replies to your own posts or ones that are
themselves replies to you posts, the cause may be that your posts have
the Reply-To: line like this:

  Reply-To: GHS at execpc.com, Sponsored by ABANA <theforge at mailman.qth.net>

which results in every reply to your message being sent:

  1. directly to you    *AND*

  2. to TheForge list where it gets forwarded to you.

A quick look at saved message shows that the posts of many members
have only:

   Reply-To: Sponsored by ABANA <theforge at mailman.qth.net>

I also get double copies of replies to my posts because I have my
mailer set to enter a Reply-To: header for reasons unrelated to
TheForge.  Maybe you could try disabling Reply-To: headers in your
mailer and see what happens.
