[TheForge] Propane Users tank sizes and usage

Ben,

For a 500 pounder, I would have to go on the monthly
top off plan, it is cheaper for me.

I have my fuel/gas storage builder at such a height
that I can directly unload from my vans back gate to
the floor of the storage building with no problems, I
have 6 gallon diesel "jerry" cans, 5 gallon Gas cans,
a couple of 5 gallon kerosene cans and smaller stuff.

On my little farm, with the shop, I have a JD 950
tractor, 27 hp diesel engine in it, a 15 Kw gasoline
(peak 22.5 Kw) powered generator (waiting to convert
to multifuel) and lots of lawn care equipment that
needs one fuel or another. So I have a 10 x 12
building to store the fuel cans and cylinders in, as
well as some of farm tools. I have two acres for a
farm/garden next to the house and a front yard that is
1.2 acres. I have more acreage away from the house.

I buy my fuel from the co-op and don't pay road tax on
the stuff. I want to heat the shop with propane as
well. A 500 pounder would cost me about $800 to fill,
that seems like a lot but when you are a small
business, that is just above the pocket change level.
