[TheForge] SS alloy advice?

I was going to suggest 440 A or B as potential spring 
stock but I have no expertise with SS springs.

Yeah, Father had to be careful how parts got delivered 
if hardness was specified but that was for spun sheet 
metal not springs.

I have hardened non-ferrous on a speaker but again 
don't know how it'd work on wire let alone SS.
