Terry,

It's not real easy finding a distraction absorbing enough to take you
away from the misery when you're bunged up.  Maybe this is the
time to work on that CAD-for-Linux project you mentioned quite a while
ago.

Chain saws: Since I got compressed air in the shop, I blow my saw out
with 100 PSI each time before putting it away.  Amazing how much crud
I used to take for granted that only got blown out when I took it
(very rarely) to the service guys.
