While lower case and word separation tend toward clarity, making an 
effort to use a words third or fourth meaning when there is a perfectly 
good word with the primary meaning being the one you desire does not 
tend that way.

Using an adjective of adjectival form to modify a verb, buried amidst a 
group of nouns does nothing but potentially fog the meaning.

The types of things we used to correct in five year olds is now common 
speak on news broadcasts.

They say:
"He played the game perfect"
NOT
" He played the game perfectly"
OR
"He played a perfect game"

With two perfectly good forms, why do the broadcasters insist on using 
the one that wouldn't pass muster on a sixth grade English test?
