Durablanket comes as S, HP-S and 2600. "Recommended Operating
Temperatures" range from 1800 to 2450 F. I've been very happy using
Durablanket S, rated at 2150 F recommended.

Thanks, I didn't realize this.
I found that when I replaced the inner inch of Kaowool (inner one of 2 1"
layers) with D-blanket, my forge really cranked up in heating ability. Is
the Durablanket made to reflect more heat? I remember it getting really
bright in there all of a sudden on the day I put it in.
