You know, guys, I can understand there being a difference of opinion
about the situation, but what I find most disturbing is the sneaky way
things were done. The acquisition of the various materials was
admitted out front, and there is no question in my mind that the
acquisitor felt he was doing a Good Thing, by recycling and reusing
what otherwise would have been wasted, and in the process saving the
original owner some money.
However, whoever it was who blew the whistle, rather than posting the
acquisitor privately and saying, "I think what you did is wrong. In my
mind it's theft, and socially and environmentally irresponsible," or
whatever his reasoning is, to which there is no doubt in my mind that
the acquisitor would have responded honestly, and quite possibly have
returned the materials.
Unfortunately, whoever it is acted like a sneak, and is still acting
like a sneak, after threatening an honest man's livelihood. This
person is still behaving like a sneak., and while I might have
respected him or her for having a difference of opinion, honestly
expressed, just as I respect the acquisitor for honestly discussing
his acquisition, I cannot and will not respect any type of sneak or
coward.
So, if you're the one who did this, know this: You are a sneak, a
coward, and lower than the belly on a deep sea fish. If you cannot
admit to actions that you performed, then you should not have
performed them, no matter what moral high ground you pretend to take
later. You are disgusting, and unfit to be associated with decent
people.
