That's all good for the casters but what about the floor?  That's a pretty high point load over a couple of sq inches of concrete....  and then you also have everything piled on the table.

Fortunately, McMaster-Carr has anticipated this problem.

Go to http://www.mcmaster.com 

Us the "find products" to find casters.

Now choose your floor material.  Concrete?

Then choose the weight load per caster.

Then choose braking casters, if that's what you want.

Voila', it comes up with the caster for the job.  $17 each for 450# capacity steel swivel casters with brakes.

Ok I just picked up a wielding table cheep. But I need to put it on casters
the weight is about 1000# will 4 casters that are rated to 450 hold it up or
do I need to find something rated  at 1000# ?
