We live just South of Toledo about 30 miles from that plant. There
was a news helicopter from Detroit providing live video from the scene.
Fortunately the fire stopped short of nine big 5000 gal and seven 30,000 gal
propane tanks and some 20,000 gal fuel tanks, but hundreds of 20 lb tanks
provided a spectacular pyrotechnic display for several hours. Fire
departments evacuated a 1.5 mile radius and waited. A semi-truck loaded with
20 lb tanks lasted about 30 minutes.

Subject: [TheForge] OT - Propane Plant Fire

I stumbled across a news article that covered a propane plant fire.
It's not a terribly exciting news story, but the web site has some video of
the fire and of the tanks exploding. I guess it was mainly 30 lb tanks
being set off. I thought some people might find it interesting..
