[TheForge] Anyone know anything about this event?

I enjoy demonstrating for the public, and do it for free. I can't remember the last time someone was rude to me while I was demonstrating. I recently spent 3 days at the local medieval fair which had an estimated 250,000 people over the weekend. But, I'm not sure my old body would hold up to 40 hours a week. My arm and feet were sore after three days.

Sorry, I don't know anything about the event. Sounds interesting, though, if
you're going to be in the area that day.
Took a look at the employment opportunities page. They have a blacksmith
position May 4 to October 8, which is filled for this year. The pay rate is
$9.70/hour. Not too bad considering the smithy with fuel, material, tools,
etc. is provided. But it's not much for basically doing 40 hours a week of
demo and interpretation.
It's dealing with the public. Hell, I have customers at the wheelchair shop
and my own shop that are worth $100 an hour just to talk with them on the
phone!:)
They need one of those signs: "If you are rude, irritable, or just a pain in
the ass, there is a $10 per hour charge for putting up with you."
