A few years ago I made a small "steak brand" and a larger brand for
hanging on the wall. The brand was "Z7". According to the customer they
were for his son in law down in Arizona (I think) who used to work for
Penzoil. They had an additive "Z7" (zinc I think) in their oil and he
registered the brand in Arizona. Both brands were made by bending some
flat stock and mig welding a handle.
I never thought about checking with anyone. Also never thought someone
would brand themselves. And if I ever would have thought that I never
would have thought that somehow I could be liable.
Just rambling.
