[TheForge] need some ideas

Terry,
As to the "simple trellis" idea, you might consider ornamental iron instead of
wrought iron; It is quicker to build and mixes with wrought iron well. The
wrought iron used in more important pieces is offset by the simpler ornamental
iron shapes just as ornamental iron is offset by wooden structures. Since the
point of a trellis is to support plants, which should be the center of
attention, and from an artistic viewpoint, to provide interest while the plants
mature and/or during winter months simple geometrical shapes work well (circles,
X patterns, waves, boxes). However, much as I like them, scrolls should be
avoided for this use. If you're interested in pursuing the subject further, I'm
willing.
Mikey

Subject: [TheForge] need some ideas

hello;

i am looking for ideas on how to add some ironwork 'art work' pieces
to the landscape that will add some uniqueness. also looking for a
simple trelis idea for climbing plants such as the moon flower.

my middle daughter is taking every friday off for the next several
months to help me finish projects that were started before i became
sidelined and do a few new ones.

i need some ideas for decorated bird feeders/houses. a metal birdhouse
would probably be to hot for the birds but the support for the bird
feeder/houses could be some simple but decorated metal work.
