[TheForge] Dog head hammer?

Looks like a cutlers hammer of some sort. I've never
heard of a dog head hammer and don't know where some
folk come up with these names.

Being unbalanced isn't necessarily a bad thing. This
one looks like it's almost fitted to a particular hand.
With the face so heavily weighted, the head mounted at
an angle and the hatchet like handle I'd say it would
be a very accurate hammer.

Wrought iron is.

Hi all,

What, pray tell, is the purpose of a dog head
hammer? Looks like a
rather unbalanced and ungainly lump of metal.
