ah, welcome to my world. this is the 11th yr of being homebound
from a work accident. the legal nightmare still grids on. this year
is the hardest. new medical problems which started back in oct are
getting worse to the point i can barely walk. my hands, and legs are
swollen must of the time. i am tired of all the medical tests, the
probing, and the prodding. i have an appointment with a rheumatologist
on 8 mar 2007.
i no longer have a vehicle so i rely on the handicap/senior citizen
bus service or friends to get out. i was able to get out this evening
to get some groceries when a friend picked me up on his way to the
store. it is sad when the highlight of one's day is just getting out
to the grocery store or farm&fleet to ride a scooter around the store
and see what is new.
i really want to plant my garden again this year but i do not see
how i will managed it if i cannot walk. i had thought of getting
some chickens and raising them for eggs and get my mind on other
things but again how do i manage if i am unable to walk.
i have been cooking but even that is getting difficult.
my daughters gave me some money to find a kitchen-aid mixer for
making bread. i had been making bread by hand which was becoming
extremely painful. i found a reconditioned one for basically 50
percent of a like new model.
my metalworking has all but stopped. that saddens me. i enjoyed
being out in the shop making things and fixing things.
