the alex bealer book i think i have seen in one of our local shops here and while it has a lot of good info in it in some
respects it is also not terribly good either if it is in fact the one that i think it is. the charles raven one however is very good
and i have it on loan from the library at the moment.
unfortunately there are no blacksmiths groups in our local area here that i have been able to find (local area being brisbane
australia).
another i have here that in some respects is ok but in other not is one by charles slater called charlie the smithy. it kind of
says a lot without giving a lot of other small but important things away. this guy was one of the last apprentice blacksmiths
and had his apprenticship extended due to the coming of the agricultural engineer.
can't remember most of the ones i learnt from many years ago but those ones i found to be quite helpful. sorry i can't be of
further help there:(
