I have welded with a propane/ox torch for over 40 years.
Don't know why some people say it can't be done

I have no experience with this, but previous discussions on this forum
concluded it was impossible to weld with propane.
But cutting is done with the oxygen after heading the steel. What
difference would the propane make to that?

Oxy-Propane? It is cheaper for the propane, but more difficult to cut and
weld with. I have not used it, so I can't speak from experience.

Greetings all
I am considering switching to oxy-propylene (supposedly is cheaper and
will last longer) - I use the torches for cutting and spot heating only.
Any opinions?
