[TheForge] Sighting in Rifles

In WV if you don't have a gun, you're looked upon like you're some kind 
of weirdo.  Damned near everyone hunts here, often just to live (WV is 
the poorest and most unemployed state in the USA and you can really tell 
that this is the case in many places).

Juast to show how different things can be in different areas of the 
country - I was at the airport in Beckley and asked the people there 
what the procedure was for transporting a gun on a flight.  They 
explained it to me and that was it.  In Newark, the same question was 
met with a look of barely contained terror on the part of the ticket 
agent.  She was very polite but I could hear her thoughts across the 
counter.  She was clearly shaken in some way to have a customer asking 
about taking a gun aboard in checked luggage.  Many people in the NE USA 
  freak out at the talk of a gun, much less seeing one... unless it is 
on a cop.  As you can see, we have plenty of people here that are also 
in need of serious and intensive psychotherapy. :)
