[TheForge] Sighting in Rifles

I have no problem if my insurance company makes a policy stating "No
seatbelt - no coverage" or "No helmet - it's your problem". They have some
investment in the situation and I still make my own decision fully
understanding the consequences. The government should have no skin in the
game what so ever. If I screw up, they should not care and not come to my
aid.
By the way, I bought seatbelts in 1961 and paid to have them
installed in my first car long before they were required. I just don't like
the government telling me what they think is good for me.

The only thing that needs to have me in complete agreement is a mechanism to
exempt the rest of us from caring for or supporting your quadriplegic self
after the accident.
One simple law that says if you do it to yourself, then tough.
If you want the no seat belt/ helmet insurance that will be an additional
$12 ,000 a year for the rider.
The real travesty is that they sell the notion that it is for our
"safety"not the communal pocket book.
Same goes for smoking. . Two packs a day? Heart attacks cancer emphysema and
GI troubles are on your tab. I'll trust you to be a gentleman and not blow
it in my face. I in return will stay out of the restaurant that lets you
smoke. Fair enough.
