I think I've seen folding hangers like that at those fancy luggage stores at the mall.  This is not really the same, but would be easy to make.

Spielburg used that shtick twice, originally in the movie 1941 with Jim
Belushi when Slim Pickens is picked up by the enemy sub,  and then again
in the Original Raider of the Lost Arc.
