I have been forging, a bit, myself.
I have been working on a series of big door pulls, just for the heck  
of it, to try out some of my really insanely complicated twists- I  
have been doing a lot of pieces lately that combine machining and  
forging, where I machine patterns in a piece of steel first, then hot  
twist it, then forge it into shapes.
Too bad you cant post pictures here, right in the emails, like you  
can on some other email lists.

I am also making the worlds largest designer handbag, to go outside  
of a museum in Bellevue Wa, and that is mostly forged stainless, so I  
have been doing some production runs of 1/2" stainless round bar, a  
few hundred pieces of this, a few hundred pieces of that.
