For copper and steel/iron I typically use pure tin or sal ammoniac. Clean and degrease the interior, then put a little in the container, heat with a propane torch until the tin or sal ammoniac melts. Using a piece of fiberglass insulation, wipe the tin around the inside. If it doesnt stick its not hot enough. Once coated, use the insulation to wipe out the excess..
Sal ammonmiac has a built in flux so its easier to work with
