[TheForge] Pewter Tankard

Hello
Having purchased a tankard, made in England, Worcester Silver Co, New
York. and labeled English pewter. What do I have?
The intent was to have something other than a Styrofoam cup on my
bench..I have been told that it is full of lead, and not to use it as a
drinking cup.. 

Having been told that some pewter is safe to use how do I figure it out?
