I find that packing lists are great.
However for regular events I have boxes of stuff packed. I have a spare
set of tools, parts, and everything. Then I know that if I pick up those
3 boxes I have everything that I need for the event.
I actually went to an event and forgot my anvil because I thought that I
had left it in the (always packed) trailer. After plans A, B, C, D, E,
and F, I finally just went home at the end of the day and got it.
