basically, this means that the root name servers have absolutely no idea
who qth.net or qsl.net are and what their ip addresses are. as far as
the root name servers are concerned qth.net and qsl.net do not exist.

so anyone attempting to send e-mail to theforge will receive a host not
found failure. those receiving e-mail from qth.net or qsl.net may or may
not receive the e-mail depending on how their mail servers are
configured.
