Go for a fine wire crimped brush at low RPM, use it gently. Be 
careful around edges..brush off the edge, not towards it.
Wear a face shield and a dust mask....
They are a fine, versatile  tool, but they need more attention 
than driving a car.
Skip the HF tools, they are a gamble.Or were in the recent past.
For the most function on a budget, I'd go for a "rebuilt" Makita 
or DeWalt  ( or the like)4 1/2"  grinder with a 5/8" 
spindle...they are often on sale for $50 or $60..
A wide range of disks, brushes, pads and blades fit them.pete f
