A wire brush is a nice addition to the tool. Knotted wire wheels tend to 
give a coarser finish and last longer. Use Stainless steel on aluminum.
Safety warning: The wires come off with enough force to stick in you. Use a 
leather apron and long sleeves, watch what ever you are wearing in relation 
to the wheel. I had a 5" SS wheel eat my sweat shirt with me in it jamming 
my finger on the trigger in the on position, tool smoking and making noises 
me trying to kick the wire out of the extension..
Borrow my learning experience and try not to make your own.
I also recommend a full face shield.
