Ron, Muck Bar is one or two step further in the process. The pasty ball
was removed from puddling furnace and then hammered. It was then rolled in
a mill to form "muck bar". This was the lowest "grade" of wrought iron.
Most muck bar was then broken and then welded -- and once again rolled into
bar. This was Best bar. It could then be broken, welded and rolled again
to become Best Best bar. Three times and it was Treble Best.
