Dave, Have you or anybody else put together a list of the stuff that needs
to be on hand to support an ABANA conference? The list that you have
offered is not insurmountable, but is incomplete. Most of us on the list
have not worked behind the seens (SP) of a large production. But lots of
folks doing a small part can make this work. If only one person is handling
all of the arrangements they will be burnt to a crisp by the end of the
event.

About time someone gave me some of the information I've asked for-
thanks, Dave ;-)
A couple quick answers= Semis are no problem, the area ia very flat
and very solid. There's a wireless network in place- we use it all the
time for our 13,000 attendees at Pennsic. 500 people just ain't that
many people, Dave, even if it expanded to 1000. And there's plenty of
area for parking, etc- again, 500 people ain't nothing compared to
13,000. Got a couple good local EMS squads, and for some reason they
know the site well ;-) Two decent hospitals within 15 miles, a VA, and
some sort of major trauma facility inPittsburgh, who, interesting;y
enough, get some of their training from the SCA.
Dave, how do you eat the elephant? One bite at a time. And, in this
case, we aren't talking an elephant. merely a steer.
