Hello
As I started this off, I called my local gas supplier, fellow beekeeper
and smith, to get my facts straight. The rule is explained in NFPA 58,
National Fire Protection Association, Liquefied Petroleum gas code.
The comparison is that an LP bottle could generate enough pressure to be
a disaster where acetylene can not. For more details check the book.
As stated earlier the only bottle is the 1 pounder, typically used in a
cooking function, "eggs to order".
