A couple local DJs are trying to get a "tradition"
going similar to groundhog's day. The got someone to
donate a brown hog and celebrated the first ever annual
(if they keep their jobs and remember next year)
BrownHog's day.
Looking out the sliding glass door the thermometer on
the sunny side says 8f. It's on the second floor and
the one on the porch said 2f. when I came in from
tending the goats a few minutes ago. it's about
12:15pm.

I let the folk in the lower 48 decide what to do with
our used weather but there are TWO highs so each of you
can enjoy one and it wouldn't surprise me if Siberia
has more in inventory.

On Topic? . . . Hmmmm. . . Well, I don't have a big ole
power hammer thawing outO' the drifts. (NOTHING'S
thawing outO' the drifts) The shop's still open to the
stars and it's too cold to mess with it; not that Deb
would let me start climbing around on ladders yet
anyway. I've been plugging away at a couple newsletter
articles but inspiration is lacking. <sigh>
I went over to Mark's shop, a local blacksmith, a
couple weeks ago. I got play with his 90lb. Bull a bit
and made myself a rounding hammer from a truck axel.
Mark's truck, unfortunately. I'd put up a couple pics
but it's been way too cold to do the finishing it
needs.
Hey wait! The topic's WEATHER!
Sneaky Mike, very very sneaky; slipping blacksmithing
stuff into a "bitching about the cold" thread!
