I hope you are correct.

I have heard comments in the past.
theForge , even if it were all ABANA members, would still not be large 
enough toe represent the membership.
All folks do is complain, why not run for the board.
And similar dismissive responses.

In fact most members of out limited community are not ABANA members.
Perhaps listening to the "why I am not a member" comments would lend 
some useful insight.

Most of us do not have the time, resources or talent required to be on 
the board.
That is not the same as having no useful input as to what ABANA could 
offer that would intrigue us.

There have been many useful, if sometimes embryonic ideas put forth 
here. The length and generally positive tone of this discussion, tells 
me there is a high level of interest in  and different expectations of 
ABANA than the board might be aware of.

This change can be a very good thing for us all. I certainly hope that 
the history of board bashing, that this list has somewhat of a 
reputation for, will not get in the way of positive brainstorming being 
listened to.
