hello; in looking at various illustrations and photographs of a wide range of spit jacks, i do not see how these develop the necessary power and/or torque to turn a spit that may have a hundred pound hunch of meat on it. particularly the ones powered by fans in the chimney. -- terry l. ridder ><>
