We should never accept the idea that the government is anything but "we 
the people" - we may need to remind each other of that from time to 
time.  That's one reason I like term limits - keep elected officials 
from forgetting that they are just citizens like the rest of us.  The 
strength of this country comes from the diversity of its people and the 
balancing of centers of power to keep each other in check.  We had an 
erosion of that balance, with Congress and the courts bending over too 
much for the Executive, and we've been paying a terrible price.  And it 
would be a problem if it were a Democratic executive, just as much.
