The Brits are a concerned people and somethings that
cause violence with them seem to get banned. Try
flying in to Heathrow, you will see light armoured
vehicles and small tanks around the airport.

I remember when Bobbies didn't carry guns, now they
carry MP5s. Maybe not all of them, but they are armed
these days.

Most Americans do not see that this sort of thing is
slowly happening in the states, but not due to the War
of Terror or whatever this world wide military action
is called. Cleveland banned Saturday Night Specials
years ago, DC is gun free, Chicago and NYC have heavy
restrictions. The last time I bought a gun in
Columbus, Ohio, you had to go get $5 permit to buy a
handgun if you lived in Columbus and certain assault
weapons were banned completely. Many cities have
banned gun shows, which caused a lot of new shows to
pop up in the county areas or out in the country side.

If you carry certain weapons, like a big blade, you
maybe be arrested for inducing panic or some such law.

My pocket knife can't be longer than a 3 inch blade or
it's illegal.

I have a conceal carry permit, but I can't carry a
automatic knife. Go figure.
