Well, I am drinking a medium roast UGANDA that was taken just into the
2nd crack and I find the flavor to be less interesting and intense than
say the same bean taken to rapid 2nd...But I am an espresso man by
nature...BUT, the mixture of varying beans at varying cracks is the way
to go and how I have achieved the best tasting blends. I have kept a log
for ALL of the blends that I have done for anyone interested...We can
take it off list for further discussion. Just contact me directly......

Mark

Don't get me wrong, I like strong coffee. But, IMHO, a strong cup of
light or medium roast has more interesting and subtle flavors than dark
roast which is mainly charcoal flavor. YMMV.
