[TheForge] Fw: Can't compete w/ this

I don't know if it will be 100 years, 1000 years, or 1,000,000 years, but humanity as we know it will become extinct, sometime. The question for me is how we can improve the quality of our time while we are here. It would also be good if we are not the proximal cause of our own extinction.

When I was a teenager the end 'o humanity was to be a nuclear
exchange 'tween us and the soviets, by young adulthood the end was to
be global cooling and an impending ice age.....following that was the
population-bomb and no more resources...then Japan was gonna buy the
world out from under us......now global warming and more is the
writing on the wall.....long wall, much writing.

Yawn.......given humanities imagination, there will be an end of the
world as we know it de-jour for an eternity. No doubt someone some
where saw doom in the declining mammoth population.
