I was under the impression that abana was said 'umbrella'.....re-
invent the wheel or make the existing wheel work.
Quality sells, junk sells...you have to target your market. Look at
wood as an analogy: there is plenty of cheap furniture, but there is
also a solid market for high-end furniture. Same is true for forged
metalwork.
The only way to sell into the high-end market is to do high-end work
AND market it properly. It is more an issue of disposable income
that social or global inequity. Take a given piece of qualitative
work into a middle class market and get their 'top dollar' or take
the same piece into a upper income class market and get their 'top
dollar'. The top dollar will be vastly different in-as-much as both
markets have disposable incomes that are vastly different.
Capitalism is very cool....when you clue to its mechanisms.
