you could always  embed them in a block of clear
polyester resin cast in a waxed glass mold, assuming
the solvent of styrene and resin and methyl ethyl
ketone peroxide don't melt them.but even if they do it
can be interesting. plastic toothpicks and plastic
chips melt and are lighter than the resin so balls are
caught rising as the resin hardens., could be fun.
acetone will tell you what to expect.
