Try Thomas Register - search for "door hardware"
There is some really fine quality hardware out there. When my
friends
and I cleared out Newport Mining Co. back ca. 1983, we got about 250
sets of solid brass knobs and correspondingly high quality locks,
hinges, etc. These ran between $200 and $400 apiece in 1981 dollars -
brand new remodel had to be hacked out due to asbestos abatement in the
Pan Am building. Absolutely top-drawer materials throughout. My point
is that it is out there and TR should be as good a source of information
as any and better than most.
