Two ways.
In sacks on pallets under a tarp. Not real good as the tarp and sacks
keep rotting in the sun and it spills on the ground where it gets dirt
in it. Too bad this is my best coal.
And in 200 gal oil tanks that have been cut in half, pieces of old
plywood or the like laid on top to keep snow out. Works good. Too
bad this -- a couple of tons -- is a mixed bag of three different
batches of varying quality that is only revealed when I have it in the
fire.
I had an extra "back room" in my old shop and I just piled the coal in a
corner, loose or in sacks as I got it, where it staid nice and dry.
