Stop talking like that!...I've a date with the back butcher in my
near future apparently...but..
Back to aprons...I had a deer skin apron with a neck strap for
years that had almost melded with my own skin, i wore it so much
of the time. This was back in the 60s and 70s.
Had a leather working friend make me a nice large pocket to hang
around waist high on the apron, and it was the handiest thing.
Over time i added handy tools,... a small crescent wrench, a
sparker, a chipping hammer and a small cross peen ,an Eiffel
Flash Plier Wrench and attachments, some gas rods and an
assortment of commonly used arc rods, a small file and file card,
some soapstones, a silver and a graphite pencil plus a couple of
sharpies...and so on.
Over time ,the weight, aided by considerable slag and rod stubs,
all conveniently hanging from my slender neck....yeah, you know
the rest...3 discs, pinched the nerve to my right arm enough that
i lost half the muscle mass...and so on.
I still have that apron ( i keep everything) but haven't worn it
since; it's kinda moldy now.....pf
