I have a suede one from Pieh Tools that works well enough.
If you're interested in making your own, you can get some leather from
Tandy. I have a split that I plan on turning into an apron soon... I
just need to make some ties or snaps or something that will break if it
gets snagged.
I forgot the exact weight of the leather, but something in the 8--12 oz
range. It's a bit too thick to flex easily, but it should hang straight
down and not flop around or get snagged.
