Looking back at a certain five year period developing considerable acquaintance
with the subject, I would have to put the impression of pain-killing down to the
tendency towards heavily disjointed conversation rather than analgesic effects;
we were all just too high for complaint as it were :)

I've heard smoking the occasional joint eases the joints ;o) But keep in mind...
I neither have sore joints nor am I a doctor...
just the experience of relieving the pain in my joints which don't actually
hurt.
