Larry,
This regulates the level of natural insulin in the
blood, if your sugar is too low it tells the liver to
put out some sugar.
The side effects are in the first two to three weeks
and they go away.
You have to be regimented like most diabetics, but
it's isn't any more hassle than insulin and meter
tests. You have to take it within one hour of eating,
but you don't have count carbs and all of that stuff,
byetta regulates the body. Don't go hog wild, it isn't
