Woot... back on my folks' farm, they use high-tensile fencing and have
a powerful fencer... one day when I was maybe 13 I remember having a
walk around the fields with my Pop and we found a fried deer which had
gotten its hind legs stuck under the top strand, while the rest of it
had made the jump over the fence.... glad I wasn't there through its
struggle, but it was blackened to a crisp.... not sure how many
watt-hours went into it, but it was... well done, so to speak.
The squirrel thing: a friend of my folks told us once about how he
kept squirrels out of his bird-feeders.... he tried everything to make
the feeders inaccessible, and in the end made a wire ladder/framework
around the feeders, hooked up to a 110v wall switch by the window, so
he'd just flick it when a squirrel was there... varmints make for good
entertainment, whether you feed them or.... otherwise.
