Joint pain? and where in the foot? Arthritis is a huge catagory, what kind do
you have? In osteoarthritis the first line treatment is Tylenol, then stuff
like the non-acetylated salicylates. Like Salsalate or Choline magnesium
trisalicate (stuff like asprin only slightly different). Then back to the
mundane ibuprofen which is really effective at low doses. Other drugs in the
NSAID classes and Cox 2 inhibitors work as well. I am not a great fan of
narcotics or steroid injections.
Capsaicin cream seems to relieve pain in small joints but may cause skin
reactions.
I always recommend a change of shoes, insoles or orthotics before starting
drugs. Antifatige mats can help too.
