I have heard cutting down on sugar consumption does wonders.
I have noticed I get achy when I eat too much of the stuff.
But older friends have reported a direct correlation between amount
of sweets consumed and arthritis intensity.
Probably doesnt work for everyone- but then, nothing does.

It's my understanding that these ingredients act by means of
counterirritation. Counterirritation is the principal that if you
make your skin hurt more than your joints, the arthritis won't bother
you. Curiously, it works. (So they tell me. No arthritis to speak
of yet - knock wood!).
