Peter and Phoebe,
We could be going down, generally I let the world go
by me. My problem is really simple, some of the scrap
that I have, I can't get anyone to pick it, good steel
and all of that. But when I make copper bowls, do
inlay with copper or make Mokume, it just amazes me
the price, because two years ago I bought two rolls of
12-2 250 feet. For $30 some dollars each at the
hardware store, today at least $100 per roll.
Plus I need 130 feet of 4 gage copper for my TIG
welder. So I will be poor for a while after buying
that.
Talk about cheap labor, I 70 seem to net the local
sheriff lots of illegals, that get set free after
booking.
BTW Gold is about $886.00 an onuce, maybe higher or
lower, but a lot more than it used to be.
