Don Asbee had a meeting a while back and he showed us how he had welded two 
pieces of angle iron together to form a hollow square bar.  It required 
grinding the weld down to a sharp corner.  It was a restoration piece and 
had to look like the original but that looked like way too much work to me.

I agree with Frosty and would try to forge the tubing down to make the 
square corners. Of course one errant hit and you could crush a section and 
ruin the whole piece.  We have a hydrolic press and can put in stops so it 
can only go to the desired thickness.

Or find someone with a rolling mill and run it through that to sharpen up 
the corners.
