[TheForge] Blacksmithing Demo, Projects?

I am demonstrating at our local museum tomorrow ( Saturday ) on
opening day. Nails work well especially if there are young folks involved. A
well tested nail header is a must. They know what it is when you are
finished and it doesn't take a long time to make. Attention span is about 6
minutes. A story I use is that to be a journeyman nail maker one had to make
1000 nails a day. After they see how it is done one time, they are duly
impressed. S-hooks also work well and for some reason the twist in the
middle seems to impress most folks.
This Saturday will not be a nail day as I have 2 supports to make
for the museum staff for their early baseball team banner. They have a
banner they take to 1800's vintage baseball games with their team name and
logo on it.
Good luck.

Help.
I am a beginner Blacksmith, one and a half years experience. I have been
asked to run the Blacksmith shop this weekend at a historical settlement, my
1st demo. Any suggestions on what to make or not to make, do or don'ts. I
have been told that simple projects that can be completed in one or two
heats are best, is this the prevailing thought. The event is a Folk Music
fest at a pioneer arts settlement.
